Customer Conduct Policy
We ask that our customers respect and help us nurture our safe spaces and do not engage in any shaming of or judging of another customer or person when at a Kailani Dance Company class/Storm Session/performance or while representing Kailani Dance Company at an event. We ask that you adopt a communally supportive attitude in all of our classes/courses/events. In return we will continue to do our best to provide these spaces and services. Customer’s known to be shaming or judging other customers/staff members may have their Kailani Dance Company Team Up accounts permanently blocked.
Age Restrictions
Anyone taking part in a Kailani Dance Company class/ Storm Session or performance must be 18 or older and must have created and completed a Kailani Dance Company Team Up account.
Performance Community Membership Plans
Membership fees are paid by monthly instalments via our third-party operator. Membership fees are payable on the first day of each month of membership. Your first payment date will be the day you purchase your membership, and you will pay a prorated amount.
Cancellation/refunds:
If you pay your membership fees monthly via direct debit, you can cancel your membership yourself at any point but please note that this does not mean we will refund you for the month membership that you have already paid for.
If you wish to cancel your membership for the following month you will need to do so before 20th of the prior month. For example, if you cancel your membership on 2nd June you will not receive a refund for the month of June that you have already paid for regardless of whether you intend to attend your membership classes or not. The classes will still be available for you to attend up until your membership expires at the end of that month. You can cancel your membership yourself by logging into your Kailani Dance Company Team Up account.
Late payment:
If you are paying via direct debit and you fall behind with your membership fees, your membership and Kailani Dance Company Team Up account will be blocked until outstanding balances are cleared. This means that you will not be able to attend any classes/Storm Sessions/team sessions/performances until your fees are settled.
Class Passes and Studio Dancer Memberships
Payments:
Pay as you go/1 Class memberships are/ 2 classes a week paid via our third party operator and are used for booking dance classes.
Cancellations/refunds:
You can cancel your dance class at any point but you will only receive a refund if you cancel your reserved place more than 24 hours before the class commences. If you do cancel with more than 24 hours of the class starting you will receive a full refund to your original payment processor. You can cancel by logging into your Team Up account and removing yourself from the class you are no longer able to attend. We will not offer cash or account credit refunds for classes cancelled with less than 24 hours notice.
Late payments:
If your payment fails your Kailani Dance Company Team Up account will be blocked until all outstanding balances are cleared. This means that you will not be able to attend any classes or team training sessions or Storm Sessions until your fees are settled.
Other Terms of Service
Cancellation out of our control:
There may be occasions where we have to cancel classes/courses/Storm Sessions/events due to circumstances out of our control. In such instances, you will not be entitled to any partial or full refund. We will try to advise you in advance where possible.
Readiness to exercise:
Our staff and subcontractors are not medically qualified so if you are not sure about your fitness or capability to exercise, we advise you get advice from a doctor first.
Loss or damage of property:
We will not be liable to you for any loss, damage or theft of any property you bring onto any premises where we run classes/courses/Storm Sessions/events. You are responsible for all your own belongings.
Terms of Service Changes:
We can make reasonable changes to these terms of service at any time. These terms were last updated on 28/12/2023.

Yes!
Our Beginners Plus class on a Wednesday night is the perfect introduction to Commercial dance for absolute beginners.
Wear clothes you feel comfortable in/can easily move in and trainers, bring a water bottle and a positive attitude and you’ll be good to go!

Once you have made your way up the stairs and into the dance studio, your teacher will say hi and mark you off on the register.
Our drop in classes always start with a warm up to get your body moving and some light stretching. Then we are ready to learn some choreo! Each class is a new routine with new choreography, so don’t worry if you are new or have missed a week.
At the end of the class, we will film the routine for those who wish to be in the video. There is absolutely no pressure to be in the class video, our cheerleaders on the side are just as important as our performers!

No, there are no auditions to join our performance collective!
Ensuring that your values align with ours is the most important thing. Our performance team dancers are part of a supportive community that build each other up and there is no place for competitiveness.
A basic level of dance experience is required, but these skills will be developed by your team coaches meaning a desire to learn is imperative.
If you are new to KDC, we would love you to come along to a few classes before applying so you can be sure that our environment is the best fit for you.
